About Van der Valk
In 1939 Martien and Rie van der Valk started a restaurant in Voorschoten. Their business was a great success thanks to their dedication, their hospitality and their family approach.
After the Second World War they built a number of restaurants with the help of their 11 children. From then on, their children and grandchildren developed the company until it became the largest hotel chain in the Netherlands with 62 establishments and 28 hotels all over the world. Van der Valk Hotel Brussels Airport is their ninth hotel in Belgium.
The vision of hospitality that Martien and Rie van der Valk had, still remains today the basis of our formula for success. Their mentality and entrepreneurial spirit is an example for the generations that follow.
